Monkey Gyming...

Laughter Is The Best Medicine...

Laughter is a powerful antidote to stress, pain, and conflict. Nothing works faster or more dependably to bring your mind and body back into balance than a good laugh. Humor lightens your burdens, inspires hopes, connects you to others, and keeps you grounded, focused, and alert.

With so much power to heal and renew, the ability to laugh easily and frequently is a tremendous resource for surmounting problems, enhancing your relationships, and supporting both physical and emotional health.

  • Laughter relaxes the whole body. A good, hearty laugh relieves physical tension and stress, leaving your muscles relaxed for up to 45 minutes after.
  • Laughter boosts the immune system. Laughter decreases stress hormones and increases immune cells and infection-fighting antibodies, thus improving your resistance to disease.
  • Laughter triggers the release of endorphins, the body’s natural feel-good chemicals. Endorphins promote an overall sense of well-being and can even temporarily relieve pain.
  • Laughter protects the heart. Laughter improves the function of blood vessels and increases blood flow, which can help protect you against a heart attack and other cardiovascular problems.

Why you should laugh...

Lets get see a few fact to why you should laugh daily.......

Have you laughed today? No, I don’t mean a sarcastic snicker, or texting LOL to a friend. I mean a real, lung–squeezing, belly-shaking, eye-watering, I-almost-peed-my-pants kind of laugh!

You might be surprised to learn that the simple act of laughing every now and then can do wonders for your health, both emotionally and physically. With cold and flu season just around the corner, you’ll be pleased to know that a hearty dose of laughter can boost your immune system, increase the number of virus-killing cells in your bloodstream, reduce stress related hormones, and enhance your mental functioning…all without taking a single vitamin or spending a minute on the treadmill!

There are other awesome benefits to laughing more as well: just hearing laughter helps put us in a good mood, creating a positive emotional climate in the home or office. Laughing signals to other humans that we’re interested in bonding, and enhances cooperation among large groups.

Basically, there are no downsides to laughter, and we should attempt to do it freely and more often! (Note: while laughing at your favorite sitcom or movie is better than nothing, the best quality laughter happens in the company of others. Go forth, and make someone laugh today!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Chihuahua

A man goes into a bar with his dog. He goes up to the bar and asks for a drink. The bartender says "You can't bring that dog in here!" The guy, without missing a beat, says "This is my seeing-eye dog." "Oh man,” the bartender says, "I'm sorry, here, the first one's on me." The man takes his drink and goes to a table near the door. Another guy walks into the bar with a Chihuahua. The first guys sees him, stops him and says "You can't bring that dog in here unless you tell him it's a seeing-eye dog." The second man graciously thanks the first man and continues to the bar. He asks for a drink. The bartender says "Hey, you can't bring that dog in here!" The second man replies "This is my seeing-eye dog." The bartender says, "No, I don't think so. They do not have Chihuahuas as seeing-eye dogs." The man pauses for a half-second and replies "What??! They gave me a Chihuahua??!"
